Pediatrics Residency

Caroline grew up in Houston TX and attended Colgate University in NY, majoring in cellular neuroscience. Prior to medical school she lived in Washington DC as a NIH post-bac research fellow studying Autism and the gut microbiome while developing a passion for healthcare policy. She moved back to TX to attend UT Austin Dell Medical School, concurrently achieving a Master’s in Public Affairs (MPAff). At Dell she was active in healthcare policy advocacy testifying at the state legislature and working within the Texas Medical Association to author multiple passed resolutions related to child healthcare. She also conducted research with local interprofessional partners on adolescent sexual health literacy disparities and public education effectiveness. She was proud student body president of the medical school, her passions for making medical education equitable and supporting the success of her classmates ultimately drawing her to Brown’s pediatrics program. She is excited to join a family-like program built on developing well-rounded physician leaders! She has many interests and is excited to find her future within pediatrics while continuing to work actively in local and federal policy development to help the children of Providence and beyond! Outside of the hospital you can find her with her cockapoo Rosie at her side reading, walking until she stumbles upon her next adventure, and ordering dips for the table.
