Kipp grew up in Forked River, NJ and received a B.S. in Biomedical Science with a Minor in Global Public Health from Quinnipiac University. After working as an
emergency room scribe in the early stages of the pandemic, Kipp returned to Quinnipiac to pursue his MD, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. During this time, he also pursued research in obesity medicine and bariatric surgery to better understand how social environments can psychologically impact patients with obesity. He served in regional leadership roles through the CT Public Health Association, CT State Medical Society, and Choosing Wisely Campaign for High-Value Care. His work with refugees and asylees in New Haven, CT was especially meaningful in identifying public service as an essential and meaningful component of his future practice.

Kipp’s primary interests include health equity and advocacy, obesity medicine, and medical humanism. He is excited to come to Hasbro Children’s to pursue a career in which advocacy plays a direct role in patient care outcomes. Outside of the clinical setting, Kipp enjoys reading and writing fiction, performing on the harp, and playing nearly every kind of game with anyone who can stand his corny sense of humor.
