Pediatrics Residency

Lauren Mazur grew up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. After high school she completed her undergraduate training in Chemistry at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. There she was involved in basic science research, completing an honors thesis titled, “Synthesis and investigation of asymmetric diyne and polyyne compounds for biological activity.” After graduation, she joined the Penn State College of Medicine incoming class of 2020 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

During her time at Penn State, Lauren enjoyed developing her medical education skills through mentoring and teaching opportunities. She participated in clinical research, further developing her interests within pediatric critical care. During her last two years of medical school she further developed her skills within pediatric advocacy through participation in the Trainees for Child Injury Prevention through Nationwide Children’s Hospital, sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Lauren’s personal history as a NICU graduate has inspired her to provide strong patient and family centered care, and she is thrilled to train at Brown.

In her free time, Lauren can be found spending time with her fiancé and cat, spending time with friends, and crafting. Lauren is looking forward to trying new restaurants around Providence as well as spending time outside running and visiting the beach.
