Lindsey Tyrrell, DO
Biography
Lindsey (she/her) grew up in Northern Virginia prior to studying Genetics and Bioethics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She then worked as a Newborn Hearing Screener and participated in Moderna’s Phase 3 COVID-19 vaccine trial before starting medical school back in her home state at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM-VA Campus). At VCOM, she continued to explore her interest in Bioethics, serving as Chair of the Bioethics and Humanities in Medicine Committee. In her final year, she was honored to be inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Lindsey’s passion for medicine and advocacy was inspired by her Haitian grandfather’s challenges accessing healthcare. She has gone on four service trips to Haiti, helping provide care to children and support local community development. Lindsey is excited to join Hasbro Children’s Hospital and is set on pursuing a career in Neonatology. She looks forward to caring for children and families with empathy, curiosity, and heart.
