Maddy grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, but since moving to New England for college, she hasn’t left! She went to Tufts University where she majored in Biology. After graduating, she spent a year doing clinical research at Boston Medical Center as part of a team building a database of objective and subjective measures to understand the origins of pediatric and chronic diseases. She then headed to Boston University School of Medicine where she got involved in the student-run teen and tot clinic and the NICU cuddling program for babies admitted with Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome. Maddy is very excited to be joining the pediatric team at Brown. As a National Health Service Corps member, she is interested in pursuing a career in primary care in underserved communities. Outside of medicine, she loves dancing (mostly hip hop choreography) and tasting new flavors of Oreos with her family (124 flavors and counting)!
