Pediatrics Residency

Matt was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin until moving to Charlotte, North Carolina after elementary school. Growing up, he played the clarinet and tenor saxophone and was a total band kid. He attended UNC for undergrad where he majored in biology and sociology. After graduating, he worked as a nursing assistant at UNC Hospital during the pandemic. He continued his time at UNC with medical school. There he led the Medical Student Pride Alliance, tutored his peers, volunteered at a diabetes camp, and participated in trans health research. He’s particularly interested in preventative medicine, endocrinopathies, and gender-affirming care. In his free time, he loves running/walking along the river, reading, exploring Providence with friends, and fathering his cat, Olive.
