Biography

Sedia Beysolow is originally from Georgia and proudly embraces her Liberian background. She is passionate about providing compassionate, culturally grounded care to children and families, especially those in underserved and global communities. Her upbringing and cultural background have instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility to advocate for equity in healthcare and center the voices of families in every aspect of care.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she was actively involved in mentorship, advocacy, and community service. During medical school, she held leadership roles in the Student National Medical Association, coordinated free health clinics, and mentored pre-medical and medical students through various pipeline programs. Her commitment to equity and representation in medicine was also reflected in her work with community organizations and mission-driven initiatives.

Dr. Beysolow’s clinical interests include pediatric hematology and oncology, with a focus on sickle cell disease. She aspires to provide specialized care and advocate for children with chronic illnesses both locally and globally. Her medical mission trip experiences in Angola and Rwanda strengthened her resolve to center families in clinical decision-making and ensure every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Beysolow enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends who keep her grounded and inspired.
