Pediatrics Residency

Sophia is a born and raised New Englander. She grew up in southeastern Massachusetts and attended Brown University for her bachelor’s degree in biology. After graduation, she worked as both a scribe and a clinical research assistant at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. It was during this time at Hasbro that she fell in love with pediatrics, and so she is overjoyed at the opportunity to return to Hasbro for her pediatrics training! She attended medical school at New York Institute of Technology where she served in leadership roles in the pediatrics club as well as the Medical Student Pride Alliance. Her clinical interests include primary care, gender-affirming care for LGBTQ+ youth, and advocacy in medicine. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys listening to showtunes, building Lego sets, going to the beach, and spending time with her wife and their 3 cats (Nala, Luna, and Milo).
